BID FOR: Collection of Garbage & Bulky Waste City of Passaic furnishing and delivery to the City of Passaic of the following: Collection of Garbage & Bulky Waste City of Passaic All bidders must be licensed garbage-collecting contractors registered with the Public Utility Commission of New Jersey. Bidders must submit a standard form of questionnaire and financial statement, which must be fully answered along with their bid proposal. Bids will be received for a three (3) year contract commencing April 1, 2025 and expiring on March 31, 2028 a four (4) year contract, commencing April 1, 2025 and expiring on March 31, 2029, and a five (5) year contract commencing April 1, 2025 and expiring on March 31, 2030. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal Form provided, accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a Surety/Bonding Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey; a Certified Check or Cashier's Check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000 to insure signing of the contract. Bidder shall also submit with the bid a Certificate of Surety from a Surety Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey, stating that it will provide the contractor with a Performance Bond in the total amount of price bid. The entire work must be performed by the bidder, and no part or section of the same can be sublet or assigned except with the prior written consent of the Business Administrator. A performance bond shall be required for the length of the term of the contract (one (1) year contract renewable) in an amount equal to the contract price for that period of the contract. Insurance requirements shall be furnished as outlined in the Proposal Form. If awarded a contract, your company shall be required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The City reserves the right to waive minor defects in the Bid. All bids must be submitted upon proposal forms furnished by the Director of Purchasing and bids on any other forms will not be accepted. Bids shall be addressed to Doris Dudek, Director of Purchasing, City of Passaic, Division of Purchasing, 330 Passaic Street, Passaic, New Jersey 07055 in a sealed envelope with name of bid on envelope.
