Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Killingworth, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Replacement of the locally iconic Chatfield Hollow State Park Covered Bridge. Project includes but is not limited to demolition of existing abutments and pier. cofferdam installation. installation of new cast-in-olace concrete abutments. installation of new superstructure including steel stringers with timber decking and wall and roof sections which are modeled after the pre-existing bridge's, general site improvements and rock weir installation. Contract to be awarded on or about January 23rd, 2025 with a start date on or about February 6th, 2025. Bidders must be Certified Set-aside Contractors if their bid is $500,000 or below Bidders must be DAS-Prequalified Contractors if their bid exceeds $500,000. Completion Time Allowed: Two Hundred and Seventy (270) Calendar Days. Liquidated Damages: One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) per calendar day. Question Deadline 01/10/2025 at 4:00 PM ET
