Sealed proposals for the performance of subsurface explorations, including the makings of borings in soil and rock; securing samples and other work incidental thereto in the Town of Killingworth, Connecticut, will be received by Down To Earth Consulting. The main objective of the SSE program is to complete borings advanced on the crest and at the toe of the existing dam. This project consists of advancing a total of eight (8) borings and twenty (20) bar probes. The bar probes will be advanced at the toe of the existing dam to assess the presence of compressible soils. The test boring contractor shall comply with Connecticut Department of Transportation policies, procedures, and specifications.
