The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities intends to complete renovations to multiple buildings along with some site work on the Central State Hospital campus located at 2450 Vison Highway, Milledgeville, Georgia 31620. The buildings will have varying degree of needs. While the complete project scope has not been finalized, the needs include, but are not necessarily be limited to, interior upgrades that could include some combination of mechanical/HVAC systems, plumbing systems/ equipment, flooring, lighting, carpentry, painting, site work and paving to address ADA accessible compliant ramps and stairs. There are no known structural issues with any of the buildings to be renovated. The selected design team will be expected to work with DBHDD and GSFIC to develop the final renovation scope to be completed for some or all the buildings on the campus. While not limited to, the scope of work will include some or all of the following: Building #6 - Dental Clinic renovations could include interior upgrades/renovations, exterior door and window replacement, roof replacement, ADA related modifications, HVAC equipment, ductwork, sanitary lines, restroom renovations, lighting fixture and fire alarm replacement, and parking lot replacement. o Building #7 - Allen Building renovations could include interior upgrades/renovations, roofing, ADA related modifications, air handlers, cooling tower & pumps, chiller & steam boilers replacement, ductwork, lighting fixture and fire alarm replacement o Building #15 - On-call Doctor's House renovations could include interior upgrades/renovations, exterior door and window replacement, ADA related modifications, and HVAC equipment. o Building #16 - Payton B. Cook Building was constructed within the last 15 years. The building is in good condition and would require minimal improvements to interior finishes such as flooring, sheetrock, and lighting fixture replacement. Project Background: The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is the state agency that focuses solely on policies, programs, and services for people with severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, and developmental and intellectual disabilities. DBHDD operates six regional and state hospitals including the Central State Hospital (CSH), providing and overseeing community-based services.
