Project ID: RFTOP-CS-0053 for DCAM-22-CS-RFQ-0016 The District of Columbia (the "District") Department of General Services ("DGS" or the "Department"), on behalf of District of Columbia Public Schools ("DCPS"), is seeking a highly qualified design-builder (the "Contractor") to furnish all professional design services, supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to develop stamped, permittable construction documents, acquire permits and construct per the approved documents for the Excel Academy Playgrounds Replacement (the "Project"). The goal of the Project is to design and install early childhood education (ECE) and 5-12 playgrounds to better serve the school and students, including new play equipment, seating, shade structures, signage, and hardscaping. Excel Academy is part of the DCPS school system located at 2501 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE, Washington, DC 20020. The goal of the Project is to: (1) upgrade the schoolyard area that has significant needs to address- this includes the installation of new play equipment, seating, shade structures, signage, and hardscaping; and (2) design and install ECE and 5-12 playgrounds (including site, landscaping, and drainage, etc.) that will be vetted and approved by DGS and District of Columbia Public Schools ("DCPS").
