Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Rockford, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Each bidder shall submit with his bid the information specified in the bid documents for compliance with the laws of the State of Illinois on Fair Employment Practices and with the City of Rockford's Ordinance on Equal Employment and Business Opportunity. Any bid which fails to include the compliance items properly completed will not be read and will not be considered. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The City of Rockford reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive technicalities. The City of Rockford requests bids from qualified companies to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for 2025 Bridge Preservation Program as described in these specifications. The work consists of cleaning and painting the bottom of a pedestrian bridge as well as bridge washing and/or sealing the deck of three bridges. This work shall consist of the surface preparation and application of a concrete sealer or protective coat upon the entire top surface of the deck and the tops and inside vertical faces of the parapets of the structure(s), as outlined in the contract. This work shall consist of furnishing, installing, maintaining, relocating, and removing work zone traffic control and protection in accordance with Section 701 of the Standard Specifications and the standard details shown in the plans.
