THE CONTRACT TIME IS 320 DAYS. ACE - West Valley Occupational Center - Communications Scope of work 2..1. Survey Contractor shall survey the site to: o Assess the general layout of the existing building infrastructure and pathways and resources for the purpose of scoping tasks necessary to complete a physical installation of the system. o Determine and identify the data cabinet locations, existing pathway and addition of new pathways to support new data cabinets and outlets. o Identify the most optimal paths to build new pathways to approximate cabinet and data outlet locations shown on the drawing. 2.2. Pathways Contractor shall: o Install new cabinets with electrical outlets, fans, thermostats with CAT90 locks/keys at locations per design. o Replace existing damaged cabinet locks with Cat90 locks/keys where applicable. Cat90 locks/keys shall be furnished by owner. o Install raceways, conduits, fittings, and pull boxes only as necessary to provide pathways for new cabling. Otherwise, use existing infrastructure as much as possible or a combination of both when practical. o Install as required new pathway to designated locations shown on the drawing o Provide size and quantity of cabinets for network equipment, enclosures for outdoor APs, conduits, raceways, and pull boxes as required o Note: Only Wiremold is approved for inside exposed pathway. All other exposed conduits shall be painted to match the existing wall. o Update drawing to show actual installation 2.3 Cabling Contractor shall: o Remove existing primary 62.5um fiber optic cabling and replace with LAUSD specification 27 1015 compliant 50um fiber optic cables per design o Install new secondary fiber optic cables per design o Install (N) Cat6 cables from (E) and (N)data cabinets to designated locations shown on the drawing. o (N)C6 cables shall not be terminated on (E)Cat5e panels. 2.3. Equipment Installation Contractor shall: o Rack and stack Wired LAN/ Wireless LAN equipment furnished by owner per design. Wall mount bracket shall be furnished by contractor. o Reuse existing patch cables where applicable. Provide new patch cables as needed. Contractor shall bill actual quantity. o Organize and dress fiber/copper patch cables using existing and new cable managers per design. Cable managers shall be furnished by contractor. 2.4 Equipment Configuration ITS shall: (per all applicable LAUSD Specifications) o Configure all owner-furnished LAN/WLAN equipment o Configure AirWave for new APs o Test and verify post cut over wired/wireless performance. 2.5 Additional Requirements Contractor shall: o Provide bills of materials for installation o Remove all abandoned data cabinet, equipment, and cables. o Maintain compliance with LAUSD specifications for hardware and premise cabling: o 27-1013 Structured Cabling (Existing Sites) o 27_1015_Premises_Wiring_for_Convergence_of_Communication_Systems o 27-1018 Local Area Network (LAN) Systems o 27_1017_Wireless_Local_Area_Network_(WLAN)_Systems
