Proposals are being accepted from qualified vendors for managing and maintaining security and fire protection systems in City of Ankeny municipal buildings. These systems are comprised of monitoring alarms, smoke detectors, and sprinklers. Contractor should be a UL listed company that has a minimum of three (3) years' experience complying with all regulations set forth by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Recommendation for Award January 6, 2025 The term of the contract shall be for three (3) years, anticipated to be January 22, 2025 through December 31, 2027. The City and the contractor may renew the original contract for three (3) additional one-year time periods by mutual agreement All proposals will be evaluated based on the contractor's adherence to the specifications, proposed start date, pricing structure, references and certificate of insurance. The City evaluation team may arrange meetings with representatives of the companies whose proposals are deemed to be within the competitive range. The purpose shall be the clarification of any aspect of the proposal that is deemed to have a material bearing on arriving at a fair determination of which proposal offers the best overall value. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received.
