Removal and Transport of Wet Sewage Scum Question Deadline 12/17/2024 at 12:00 PM PT Online Q&A Yes Scope of Services The City of San Diego's (City) Wastewater Treatment & Disposal Division of the Public Utilities Department (Department) seeks to award a Contract to provide services for the removal, hauling, and disposal/recycling of wet sewage scum (fats, oils, and grease) and to maintain on-site watertight storage containers located at the North City Water Reclamation Plant (NCWRP) and Point Loma Water Treatment Plant (PLWTP). The City of San Diego, Public Utilities Department (City) seeks to award a contract to provide services for the removal, hauling, and disposal/recycling of wet sewage scum (fats, oils, and grease) and to maintain on-site water tight storage containers in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications of this Scope of Work. The City of San Diego operates the NCWRP and the PLWTP. PLWTP is an advanced primary facility that treats approximately 180 million gallons per day (MGD) of wastewater. The NCWRP is a secondary treatment facility that treats approximately 23 MGD to 40 MGD of wastewater. The wet sewage scum has been certified "Non- Hazardous" by either the City of San Diego's Chemistry Laboratory, the County of San Diego's Department of Health Services, or both.
