Renovation of a multi-residential development in Aledo, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Proposals are desired for a single, lump sum General Construction contract which shall include all work related to the following: Replacement of piping for domestic hot water, hot water recirculating and cold water at apartment risers, water heaters, water softeners, and trash chute valve. All contractors and subcontractors must comply with: Equal Opportunity Employment, Executive Order 11246 and Davis-Bacon wage rates as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor and adopted by the Housing Authority and as set forth in the Project Manual. Submission of U.S. Department of Labor payroll forms is required on a weekly basis. Contractors and subcontractors will commit themselves to making a good faith effort to meet the 10% goal of employing minorities and 5% goal of employing women. This publicly funded project is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Furthermore, the Owner encourages Minority Business Enterprises and Women-Owned Businesses to submit a proposal for this project. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to award the contract to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder and to waive any formalities or irregularities in the bids received. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of the bids without the consent of the Housing Authority.
