Site work for a water / sewer project in Princeton, West Virginia. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Brush Creek Site 15 (Dan Hale Reservoir) Watershed Dam A Certificate of Approval is being sought to rehabilitate the dam to comply with current NRCS and West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WV DEP) criteria and performance standards. The project will serve to maintain the flood protection capacity of the dam and extend the service life of the structure by 50 years. The proposed modifications include leveling the dam crest to maintain the existing elevation, reconfiguration of the auxiliary spillway channel, incorporation of berms on the upstream and downstream slopes, construction of a new embankment drain system, extending the principal spillway (PSW) conduit, and reconstruction of the PSW impact basin. Upon construction completion, the Brush Creek Site 15 Dam will be 70.6 feet in height with an estimated maximum storage capacity of 2,857 acre-feet. The dam will also remain under the jurisdiction of the WV Dam Control & Safety Act (W.Va. Code 22-14) as a Class 1 (high hazard) dam. The dam and land surface covered by this application are owned by Green Valley Glenwood PSD, 2387 Maple Acres Road, Princeton, WV 24739. The legal right to modify this dam is by deed. Names of responsible officials for the Green Valley Glenwood PSD are Otis Bishop - Chairman, James Carter - Treasurer, and Mark Jones - Board Member. The location of the dam is shown on the map included with this advertisement. Additional information may be available under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) through written request to the WV DEP address below. Any person who may be adversely affected by the issuance of this Certificate of Approval may request a hearing, provided that such request be made in writing, contain specific objections to the issuance of the Certificate, and be received by the WV DEP Dam Safety Section within fifteen (15) days of this publication. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
