Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and made payable to the Town of Islip. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or part, to waive any informality in any or all bids, and to accept the bid or part thereof which it deems most favorable to the Town. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after being publicly opened and read. In the event bids are rejected, or at least two (2) bids are not received, the Department of Purchasing is fully authorized to re-advertise for bids. Any Personwith A Disabilitywho Requires a Sign Language Interpreter, Auxiliary Aids, Or Special Conditions to Attend the Bid Opening and/or the Pre-bid Meeting (if Applicable), Please Call Constituent Services at 224-5380 or 224-5397 TDD Every request for information or interpretation ofthe bid documents or drawings must be addressed in writing to Thomas Owens, Commissioner, Department ofPublic Works, 401 Main Street, Islip, New York or commissioner-dpw@islipny.gov. and to be given any consideration must be received at least five (5) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Any such interpretation or supplemental instructions will be in the form ofwritten addenda and will be mailed to all prospective bidders
