The City of Kirkwood (hereafter noted as "the City") is requesting sealed proposals for General Contracting Services and Repairs. Qualified companies (hereafter noted as "Company") are invited to submit sealed proposals to provide General Contracting Services and Repairs for the City of Kirkwood Facilities Department in accordance with the specifications contained herein. The City is composed of twenty-six (26) building locations & structures and five (5) properties: Hummel, Bisso, Ken Connor, Greenway, and Memorial Walkway. The maintenance of these buildings and grounds is managed by the Facilities Operations Department and is overseen by the City's Superintendent of Facilities Operations. The Facilities Operations Department is composed of four (4) individuals, and due to other responsibilities of the staff, the City must contract out for support in General Contracting Services for new construction, renovations, and repairs. The contractor shall be responsible for new construction, modifications, maintenance and repairs related to the operation of the City's buildings as described here in. The main focus of these services will be for projects under $15,000.00. PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BOND All projects handled under the anticipated contract that carry a total value of $50,000 or more will require a payment and performance bond prior to the commencement of the project.
