The White County Department of Finance, on behalf of the White County Maintenance Department, is soliciting bids for renovations to the floors at the White County Clerk's office facility. The objective of this request for bids is to secure a contract with a firm to renovate the flooring in the White County Clerk's office facility, located at 113 East Bockman Way in Sparta, Tennessee. White County is renovating this building and transforming it from a bank into the future home of the White County Clerk's Office. The existing floors are a combination of concrete, terrazzo, VCT, and tile. The entire facility is approximately 2,500 square feet, but White County only intends to renovate the floors in approximately 1,622 square feet of the space. The restrooms have tile flooring. The public restroom also has tile on the walls which extends to approximately 53" high. The employee restroom had the same wall tile that was in the public restroom, but it has been removed from the wall. The Mechanical and Records Storage/IT room floors are not part of this bid. Those floors will be left as is. Bid Bond For construction related bids, in excess of $100,000 dollars, White County requires a bid bond equal to five percent of the total price of the bid. Contracts for the services of a construction manager shall require a bid bond in the amount of ten percent. White County may request bonds on other services or waive such bond requirements, as determined by the Director of Finance. Performance Bond For construction related bids, in excess of $100,000 dollars, the White County requires a performance bond equal to one hundred percent of the contract price. White County may request bonds on other services, as determined by the Director of Finance. Payment Bond For construction related bids, in excess of $100,000 dollars, White County requires a payment bond equal to one hundred percent of the contract price except as stipulated under T.C.A. 12-4-201. White County may request bonds for other services as determined by the Director of Finance. The owner (White County) further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder, and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids.
