ILDOT - 102 - Repairing Various Widths of Pavement Marking Including Lines, Letters, Numbers, and Symbols on Various Routes The work to be accomplished under this contract shall consist of repairing various widths of thermoplastic, paint, hot-spray thermoplastic, preformed plastic, and modified urethane and polyurea pavement marking lines, letters, and symbols with grooving or removal of existing pavement markings within the limits specified on each individual work order. This work shall consist of preparatory work and operations necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the project site necessary for work on the project and for all other work or operations which must be performed or costs incurred when beginning work on the project. This work shall consist of the furnishing, installation, maintenance, relocation, and removal of work zone traffic control and protection. This work shall consist of furnishing and applying pavement markings to establish "Aerial Speed Check Zones" at locations specified in the work order. This work shall consist of furnishing and applying spray thermoplastic pavement marking lines, sizes and colors as shown on the plans. The materials shall be a mixture of resins and other materials providing an essentially nonvolatile thermoplastic compound specially developed for traffic markings. Spray thermoplastic pavement markings shall be applied only by contractors on the list of Approved Spray Thermoplastic Contractors maintained by the Engineer of Operations and in effect on the date of advertisement for bids. This work consists of removing the existing markings, ensuring that the installation area is at the proper grooved depth for the selected material and to install Preformed Plastic Pavement Marking Type D - Standard - Line 9 Inch Contrast Material (white line material bordered with black material). This work shall consist of placing cement mortar along precast, prestressed concrete bridge deck beams as required for fairing out any unevenness between adjacent deck beams prior to placing of waterproofing membrane and surfacing." This work shall consist of filling voids beneath rigid and composite pavements with cement grout.
