The project involves repairing and/or replacing "beyond repair" refrigeration system components for two walk-in cooler/freezer combo units at Bexar County Juvenile Probation and Detention Center Campus 600 Mission Rd. San Antonio, TX 78210. The Contractor shall complete all scope as follows: perform troubleshooting and onsite verification of existing conditions prior to commencing any and all work. Repair existing refrigeration system components for (2) walk-in cooler/freezer combo units as needed. Remove, replace, and dispose of any associated hardware and/or existing refrigeration system components that cannot be repaired with new components of the same or better quality and capacity. Contractor to install provide all parts materials and tools needed for the performance of this SOW according to manufacturer instructions, codes, rules and regulations. Contractor responsible for project management, pre-construction logistics planning, selective demolition, temporary construction, refrigeration system components, aligning and sealing doorframes and doors, caulking, gaskets, architectural hardware (detention grade), painting impacted areas to match existing color, texture and finish, connecting refrigeration system, testing and verifying the functionality of all systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with 2021 International Building Code (IBC). After award of contract, the Contractor will be required to submit a detailed schedule of work for the completion of the project. Plan must include phasing of each major part of the project.
