Hungry Valley Education HVAC Replacement Indian-owned businesses will be given preference as per 24 CFR 1000.48-1000.52 / 24 CFR 1003.510 Indian Owned, minority-owned, or women-owned business participation is encouraged. The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony (RSIC) reserves the right to accept or refuse any and or all proposals. *RSIC is a Governmental Entity and implements its Sales & Use Tax Ordinance LICENSES AND PERMITS: It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to acquire all necessary licenses and permits prior to commencement of work and to comply with all applicable Tribal, City, County, State and Federal Laws, regulations and codes. The Contractor shall be responsible for any/all types of insurance, tax, permit, fee, license, or other expense(s) required due to his services under this contract, unless otherwise stated herein. If applicable any/all construction material used within this contract is subject to Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Tribal Jurisdiction and reporting of such will be directly to the RenoSparks Indian Colony. Smith, Tax Manager, 775-329-2936, ext. 3200 The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony was established in the early 1900's and formed a federally recognized government in 1934 under the Indian Reorganization Act. Located in Reno, Nevada., the RSIC consists of approximately 1,164 members from three Great Basin Tribes - the Paiute, the Shoshone and the Washoe. The reservation lands consist of the original 28-acre Colony located in central west Reno and another 15,354 acres in Hungry Valley, which is 19 miles north of the Colony and west of Spanish Springs, Nev., nestled in scenic Eagle Canyon. The RSIC is a vibrant, expanding organization which balances our traditional teachings and rich culture with contemporary business methods and innovative governmental practices. We employ more than 300 people; more than 150 are our own tribal members. Our vision is for a strong community that promotes and encourages individual spiritual, physical and emotional health to foster a long, abundant and prosperous life, which will lead to personal, family and community responsibility and prosperity.
