Reference Number 0000370465 Macomb Community College is receiving proposals for upgrade project that replaces existing Dell access layer switches with new Cisco Catalyst 9300 series switches. This will new hardware, software, licenses, subscriptions, and professional services. In addition, the project will utilize two applications: Cisco Catalyst Center for network management and Cisco Identity Services for network admission control. Award for Sealed Bid Friday, January 31, 2025 (no later) Question Deadline 12/17/2024 at 1:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online No 1. Equipment Preparation and Staging: o New equipment will be unboxed, burned-in, configured, and tested. o Staging will occur at the Customer's location. 2. Removal and Storage: o Existing switches that are removed will be taken to designated storage areas for each campus. 3. Installation and Configuration: o Remove existing switch, rack and power up all access layer switches in the racks provided by MCC. o Upgrade the firmware on all new switches. o Connect to the existing UPS units. o Model the new switch configurations from existing access layer switches, including any Cisco Emergency Responder configuration and port mappings. o Perform initial interface configurations for switch ports on the newly deployed switches, including all VLAN assignments, basic access mode or trunk port configurations, BPDU Guard, and PortFast. o Configure uplinks and default route on the newly deployed switches. o Configure OSPF as needed on the new access layer switch stacks. o Configure the switch IP address, hostname, domain name, NTP, and DNS on the newly deployed switches. o Configure spanning-tree as necessary on the newly deployed switches. o Perform a code upgrade on the newly deployed switches to the latest Cisco recommended code versions, or a customer-requested and documented code version. o Configure the switches in stacks using the included stack and stack power cables. 4. Testing and Documentation: o Vendor will provide acceptance testing and documentation of all switch replacements. o Perform acceptance testing. o Provide documentation of the setup. 5. Maintenance and Patching: o All edge switch replacements will be done during our maintenance windows: any day from 10 PM to 6 AM and Sunday mornings from 6 AM to 12 PM. o All patching of new switches will be completed by the vendor. Existing patch cables can be utilized. Patches should be repatched to the same port as previously connected to. Implementation - Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE): 1. Installation: o Work with MCC to install and configure the provided Cisco ISE Virtual Machines in the Center and South Campus Data Centers using resources from their existing Microsoft Hyper-V environment. 2. Initial Setup: o Set up an Admin, Monitoring, and Policy Services node at each of the Data Centers. o Integrate all access layer switches with Policy Services Nodes. o Integrate with MCC's existing directory services for user identification, authentication, and authorization. 3. Configuration: o Set up AAA, RADIUS/802.1X Port-based Authentication, MAC Bypass, and Guest Access Services. o Set up BYOD, Device Identification via Profiling, and PxGrid (Integration with Cisco Catalyst Center). o Set up Device Posturing and MDM Integration. 4. Acceptance Testing: o Vendor will provide post-installation acceptance testing.
