Renovation of an educational facility in Storrs Mansfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 112,000-square-foot educational facility.
*Phase 3A will be the package to perform demolition/abatement, establishing logistical setups, procurement of select electrical gear, and sitework. In addition to being prequalified for this Project, all Bidders submitting a bid of $1,000,000 or higher must be prequalified by the DAS in the requisite classification and have the aggregate work capacity rating and single project limit necessary to complete the work for which the Bid is submitted. Bidders' DAS certification must be active and current at the time of this RFQ submission and must be submitted with the RFQ submission. Bid Packages requiring pre-qualification are as follows: *02A - Demolition & Abatement, estimated value is $6,600,000. *26A - Electrical, Fire Alarm, Security Demolition and Electrical Gear Enabling Procurement, estimated value is $3,000,000. *31A - Sitework, estimated value is $3,200,000. Subcontractors will be expected to be S/MBE or to provide a minimum of 30% SBE and 10% MBE participation as indicated above and comply with CHRO requirements. S/MBE companies must have current certification by the CT DAS. S/MBE certifications must be submitted with RFQ submission.
