1/2 Cent Countywide Retailers' Sales Tax Program - Shawnee County Project No. 2 NW Rochester Road - PCCP/HMA transition near the north side of Dillons to the intersection with NW 50th Street, inclusive - a distance of approximately 3.0 miles The purpose of this project is to improve geometrics, traffic flow, stormwater drainage, intersection design and to provide amenities that allow the public to walk, bike or drive to a destination. This project is intended to improve public safety in the vicinity of the Seaman High School complex. Besides the public and directly affected landowners, this project will require partnering with a number of stakeholders such as community leaders (city and county), business owners, Seaman USD 345 school district personnel, emergency management, township representatives and utilities. A number of public meetings will be required. This work consists of (but not limited to): o Preliminary survey o Utilities o Bridge evaluation for widening and repairs versus replacement. o The preparation of public meeting documents and displays, field check plans, right-ofway plans, easement acquisition documents and diagrams, office check plans, final plans, bidding documents, and construction cost estimates. o Conducting right-of-way staking for appraisers and utilities Shawnee County reserve the right to accept or reject any part of, or all of, any bid or proposal.
