As of November 26, 2025, this project is in the design phase. Construction is expected to begin in the fall of 2026. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* Questions Due Date: Nov 27th 2024, 5:00 PM MST Online Portal Murray City is requesting proposals from qualified Architectural firms to design and oversee construction of the Murray Park Aquatic Center. Architectural plans must be complete and ready for formal bid prior to December 31, 2025. Construction of project is anticipated to begin in the fall of 2026. Scope of work The selected firm will be contracted to provide services from design through completed construction and opening. The Scope includes the following major components: 1. Demolition of current aquatic center and site. 2. Geotechnical studies and understanding prior to bidding. 3. Plan design, including but not limited to; mechanical, electrical, civil, special aquatic considerations, obtaining permits. 4. Coordination meetings as needed with City staff. 5. Pre-design meeting(s) with Murray City building officials. 6. Storm water pollution plan. 7. Submittal of plans to building division prior to bidding project. 8. Bidding of project, with assistance from City staff. 9. Oversight of project including pre-bid meeting, pre-construction meeting, construction management weekly construction meetings, change order approval and processing, quality control and inspection, etc. 10. Final inspection and turn over to City. 11. Development of a project schedule covering all phases, from demolition to construction completion and grand opening. A tentative schedule is provided in the RFP, but Murray City will consider revised schedules proposed by responding architectural firms. Project: Demolition and Reconstruction of Murray City Aquatic Center Location: Murray Park, Murray, Utah The purpose of this RFP is to enter into a contract to find a qualified Architectural firm to design and oversee construction of the Murray Park Aquatic Center. It is anticipated that this RFP will result in a single contract award to the responsive and responsible vendor with the highest score justified by the procurement code. The methodology or formula that will be used to determine the contract award is: Committee Evaluation. Proposal Evaluation Criteria 10% Responsiveness, providing all pertinent and required information. 25% Firm experience with pool design and construction 10% Qualifications and experience of principal employees assigned to project. 20% Schedule 20% Familiarity with project 15% Firm fee All construction phases (demolition, construction, and grand opening) within an 18-24 month period, depending on the budget, design complexity and weather conditions. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
