As of July 31, 2025, per owner, a design team has been identified but there is no construction information or timeline available at this time. The City of St. Louis, Board of Public Service (BPS), is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing professional engineering services for roadway infrastructure improvements. The proposed improvements are primarily intended to improve safety conditions for both drivers and pedestrians, and to increase connectivity to transit stops along the River des Peres corridor. Proposed improvements include the widening and resurfacing of the roadway, installation of a new center median, the installation of new traffic signal equipment, utility relocations, and landscaping. The project will be generally located along the River Des Peres corridor, from Gravois to Lansdowne, a distance of approximately 2.40 miles. Additional improvements outside of the River Des Peres corridor may be necessary to provide connectivity to the Citys Real-Time Transportation Intelligence Center (TIC) and redundancy to the Citys fiber optic network. The City will require professional engineering services for both preliminary engineering and construction engineering; including, but not limited to, surveying and data collection; the preparation of right-of-way plans, the preparation of construction documents (plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates); attendance at various meetings and presentations, assist and provide supporting documentation for the Citys coordination with affected utilities; answering RFIs during bidding and construction, shop drawing review; and consultant services (if needed) for construction engineering.
