Calendar Days: 150 Liquidated Damages: $500.00 Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: Schedule 1: Elevated storage tank rehabilitation shall include blasting and painting the interior and exterior of a 250,000-gallon steel elevated storage tank, minor steel repairs to the tank, installation of tank mixer, and replacement of tank appurtenances as detailed in the Plans. Schedule 2: Paint Logos as detailed in the Plans. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid (for those contracts that exceed $100,000). A certified check or bank draft payable to the Owner negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture and contained in the contract documents must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) under U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Iron and steel products, Manufactured Products, and Construction Materials used in the project shall comply with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) requirements mandated by Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act ("IIJA"), Pub. L. 177-58. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities in the bidding. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
