Estimate: $28,000 - $34,000 This project will provide safe and efficient access from the exterior of the building to the second floor, which is currently unfinished but will undergo future renovation to accommodate additional bedroom and recreation space. Scope of Work: The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following key elements: o Metal Stairs: Install durable, weather-resistant metal stairs from the ground level to the second floor. o Metal Landing and Handrail: A sturdy landing at the top of the stairs with a metal handrail for added security. o Shed Roof Installation: A metal shed roof over the landing to provide protection from the elements. Color to match the existing roof at the fire station. The successful contractor will be responsible for all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the project according to the provided plans and specifications. The exterior stairs and roof system must meet all applicable federal, state, and local building codes and regulations for safety and durability. Contractor Requirements: 1. Licensed by the State of South Carolina. 2. Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance. 3. Proof of General Liability Insurance. The City of Marion has the right to accept or refuse any and all bids.
