Shoulders will be cut by the City but surfaces will need to be prepped and broomed. Contractor will provide tack coat and either 1 3/4 " or 1 1/2 " overlay per KDOT specs. MODOT specs will be considered as well. Areas in streets that have holes or dips need to be filled in 24 to 48 hours prior to being overlaid. All intersections meeting new overlay are to be end milled and radiuses filled and feathered back to provide smooth transition from surfaces. Driveways are to be feathered back 3'to provide a smooth transition. All streets are to have a 2% crown. Streets with manholes and valves higher than the street - feather back 10'. Valve and manhole risers will be provided by the City. Streets with manholes and valves lower than the street, feather back 5'. Tack coat at the rate of .10 gals per square yard is required and shall be included in the work being done. Completion- 45 working days ; Liquidated Damages Per Working Day $200.00
