Saving Project...

Remodeling of a library in Stratham, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the remodel of a library.

The Town of Stratham is requesting proposals for the bathrooms to be remodeled at Wiggin Memorial Library located at 10 Bunker Hill Avenue, Stratham, NH 03885. SCOPE OF SERVICES SOUGHT: The project will include, but is not limited to, the following services: Remove the existing flooring and install new durable tile flooring. Extend tiling up the bottom edges of the walls to a height of one foot to accommodate regular mopping and cleaning. Remove and replace existing toilets, urinal, and sinks with economical, water-efficient, and energy-efficient models. Replace the changing table in the left bathroom. Install a small partition, about 2 feet in depth, between the sink and the urinal in the left bathroom, for added privacy. Secure or replace railings and adjust existing partitions as needed for ADA compliance. Provide pricing options to ensure that the entrance doors to each bathroom meet ADA standards for width, handle types, and ease of access. Include pricing for push-button operated doors as part of ADA compliance, breaking out the cost for having only one door versus both doors equipped with push-button operation. Repaint the walls and doors using high-quality, durable paint suitable for a heavy traffic area and that can be washed as needed. (The brick wall in the right bathroom is NOT to be painted.) Install mirrors, soap dispensers, trash receptacles, paper towel dispensers and other standard bathroom accessories. Install energy-efficient lighting and ensure adequate illumination throughout the space. Install and/or upgrade exhaust fans for improved ventilation. Provide warranty and service information for any new fixtures and appliances installed. The selected contractor will be responsible for the demolition of existing structures, procurement of all necessary materials, and completion of the remodel within the agreed timeline. The final design must ensure ADA compliance and prioritize energy efficiency, and long-term durability. The Town reserves the right to request additional information or clarification of any submitted proposals. Proposals and proposal pricing must remain open for sixty (60) days. This solicitation will become an addendum to any resultant contract. They shall also submit an electronic copy of the proposal in PDF format provided via e-mail to dpwdirector@strathamnh.gov and admincoordinator@strathamnh.gov or on a USB jump drive (also known as a thumb drive). Proposals will be reviewed in accordance with the Evaluation Criteria stated within this RFP. This RFP supersedes all other proposals, oral and written, and all negotiations, conversations or discussions between the Town and any other entity related to the subject matter. The award of the contract will be based upon the best perceived value to The Town of Stratham. The electronic file name should contain the project name and the submitting firm. The sealed proposal shall be plainly and clearly marked with the project name and the name of the firm submitting the proposal. Interested firms are encouraged to submit succinct, well-organized proposals where the requirements of this RFP can be easily identified. Sealed proposals are due by either mail or personal delivery. Proposals received after that due date and time will not be considered. Question Deadline 12/23/2024 Deadline for submissions of questions due via email to dpwdirector@strathamnh.gov. Responses to comments and questions posted electronically and distributed to all those who made inquiries January 3rd, 2025 Contract Execution January 30th, 2025 The Town of Stratham reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or accept the proposal the Town deems to be in its best interest. The Town reserves the right to request additional data or information or that the firm provide the Town a presentation in support of written proposals. The Town further reserves the right to: Not award a contract for the requested services; Waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposals; Accept the proposal deemed to be the most beneficial to the public and the Town; Negotiate and accept, without advertising, the proposal of any other respondent in the event a contract cannot be successfully negotiated with the selected firm; and Retain products submitted by respondents for its own use at its sole discretion.
