Renovation of a water / sewer project in Midlothian, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
** As of 2/18/2025 Per the owner, bid results will not be made available until after the award is announced. ** MCRWS Emergency Power System and Uninterruptible Power Supply Upgrades Estimate: $5M-$7M The project scope includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: Furnish and install two new medium voltage transfer switchgear. Furnish and install medium voltage generator. Furnish and install one pad mounted transformer. Upgrade existing or install new uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). Question Deadline 01/09/2025 at 2:00 PM CT Direct all questions for this project through online. Only responses issued via Addenda are binding Bid Proposals shall be accompanied by either a Bid Bond or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount not less than 5% of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the Trinity River Authority of Texas as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within 10 days after notice of award, enter into a Contract and furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond upon the forms provided, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, from a surety licensed to conduct business in Texas and named in the current "List of Certified Companies" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Audit Staff Bureau of Accounts, U.S. Treasury Department. The surety for the Performance Bond and Payment Bond shall have an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial rating strength of five times the Contract Price, all as stated in the current "Best's Key Rating Guide, Property-Casualty." Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the Bond. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any immaterial formalities on inconsistencies in its sole judgment. Award shall be made to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder; however, the Authority reserves the right, after evaluation of all bids received, to make no recommendation to its Board of Directors regarding the award of any bid in the event non-responsive, non-conforming, or otherwise unacceptable bids are received, or if budgetary constraints or other unanticipated factors exist. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 60 days from the date bids are opened ** pre bid event info : This will be the only available time that prospective contractors can visit the project site. Prospective Bidders are reminded that all visitors attending the guided walking tour MUST have work boots, hard hats and safety vests in order to walk through the plant facilities and buildings. No exceptions. To enter the Mountain Creek Regional Wastewater System Treatment Plant, there are Authorized Entry List procedures: Anyone wanting to attend the guided plant tour must give 24 hours prior notice to Soon Wong, wongsm@trinityra.org, 817-493-5746 office, providing name, company representing, purpose (Pre-Bid Conference), and time of arrival. Directions for the Guided Plant Tour: Call, text, or e-mail 24 hours ahead of meeting as mentioned above, then enter the treatment plant by showing a valid ID to the security guard. Indicate to security guard the desire to reach the Administration Building and enter the plant using the entry gate. The guided plant tour will begin at the Plant Administration building. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. 1. The completed Work shall provide the Owner with an Emergency Power System, upgraded Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), and 3,000 kVA transformer (XFMR-8320-100-01) equipment. The Work shall include but is not limited to: a. Furnish and installing emergency generator rated 12.47 kV, 2,500 kW with integral fuel tank and enclosure. b. Furnish and installing 12.47 kV pad mounted automatic transfer switchgear. c. Modifications to existing 12.47 kV pad mounted automatic transfer switchgear to integrate new pad mounted automatic transfer switchgear. d. Furnish and installing Pad mounted 3,000 kVA transformer, XFMR8320-100-01. e. Furnish and installing 12.47 kV pad mounted switch for generator. Replacement of existing sealed lead acid battery based UPS systems with lithium iron phosphate battery based UPS systems. f. SCADA upgrades to accommodate the generator, switchgear, and UPS systems with bypass switch. Coordinate with plant staff for disposal of existing UPS. g. Associated civil installation of sidewalk trench drain. h. Associated civil structural work for adding generator and switchgear.
