Working plans call for the construction of a 81,245-square-foot, two-story above grade, 32-room educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for the demolition of a educational facility.

Construction of facilities to accommodate Kindergarten to Grade 8 students 32 full-size classrooms, including 5 kindergarten classrooms special needs area of at least 888 sq m on Manitoulin Island. -Designated space for teachers to work, meet and prepare programs. -Detached medicine lodge/gathering space to conduct traditional community teachings and ceremonies. -Large-scale gymnasium with sliding partition wall, stage, bleachers and elevated running track to support physical education and special occasion activities. -Commercial kitchen with space for walk-in fridge and freezer and cafeteria amenity. -Designated space for a small micro-hatchery (the size of a small desk). -Mechanical Services floor (facility and associated works) with loading zone and storage area. -A multi-floor GFA of approx. 7,522 sq m. -Associated water, sanitary, HVAC Systems, building security, telecoms, internet, and electrical power for the facility. -Site Servicing including water, sanitary, electrical power, fiber-optics, telecoms, access road, lighting, and parking areas to service the new school site. -A skyway or skybridge that will connect the new school to a detached building supported by the Wiikwemkoong Health Department. -Decommissioning and demolition of the existing Youth Centre. -Building decommissioning and demolition of the existing Wasse Abin Pontiac School. -Decommissioning and demolition of the existing Wasse Abin Junior School.
