The bid is comprised of the Labor for installing the following principal items and approximate quantities: 19,000 feet of 3 phase 556-19 AAC Dahlia Conductor and 3/8" static wire on pre-installed and pre-framed concrete poles. All contractors preparing bids for the referenced project shall maintain a current Alabama Contractor's License. If requested, a contractor shall provide a letter from the Office of the Secretary of State confirming registration. If evidence cannot be provided by the contractor, the contractor's bid will be rejected. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the lowest, responsive bidder. All bidders must comply with requirements of the Contractor's Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work on which the proposal is submitted. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to submit Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. It is the intent of these plans and specifications that the work be completed before June 1, 2025. ***Document Note: Said cost represents the cost of printing, reproduction, handling and distribution therefore, no refund will be issued. Electronic copies in PDF format will be available upon request at no cost. All bids shall be submitted in the Specifications Proposal and Contract Documents Book issued by the Owner. Bids not submitted in the Specifications Proposal and Contract Documents Book will not be opened. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, bidder's contractor license number, address and name of the project. Question Deadline 12/26/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered
