REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (RFEI) - West Seattle Link Extension - W200 Duwamish River Bridge and Aerial Guideway - Heavy Civil General Contractor/Construction Manager The W200 contract package is generally located in Seattle, WA between the intersection of SODO Busway with South Forest Street and the intersection of SW Andover Street and 32 nd Ave SW. It also includes a connection to the existing OMF-Central facility in the vicinity of South Hanford Street, SODO Busway, and 6 th Avenue South. W200 includes over 11,500 LF of elevated guideway, an approximately 1,700 LF cable-stayed bridge over the Duwamish Waterway, and interfaces to several other contracts. A. The W200 scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Elevated guideway (long and short spans), including: aerial crossings of major roadways, railroads, waterways, and private properties; foundations; and substructures; 2. Cable-stayed bridge over the Duwamish Waterway, including foundations, two towers, and main and back span superstructures and substructures; 3. Retained cut guideway and related structures; 4. Ground improvement for foundations; 5. Earthwork, including retaining walls and slope stabilization measures; 6. Other work includes demolition, clearing, grubbing, utility relocations, sound walls, road works, site improvements and site restoration. The W200 scope of work does not include: 1. Delridge Station platforms, buildings/enclosures, and finishes; 2. Trackwork and systems; 3. Work within OMF-Central. C. Major project constraints include: 1. The safety of the general public and construction personnel and the security of the construction sites are of highest importance to Sound Transit and will be a continuous point of focus throughout the project. 2. Access to many of the project features (foundations, substructures, bridge spans, guideway, etc.) is limited and requires careful planning and coordination with various stakeholders. 3. Work will be constrained by MOT, freight and third-party priorities. 4. The Contractor will have physical and schedule interfaces with various other construction contracts on and in the region of WSLE, including those managed by Sound Transit, SDOT, WSDOT, King County, the Port of Seattle, and BNSF.
