No definite date for the award.** HVAC and VAV Maintenance Service at District Office Questions may be submitted by email to the Purchasing Department purchasing@pleasantonusd.net before 2:00 p.m. on December 31, 2024. Answers will be posted on the District website by 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Each Submittal must conform and be responsive to the requirements set forth in this RFP. District reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in received Submittals. Further, District reserves the right to reject any and all Submittals and to negotiate contract terms with one or more Respondents for one or more of the work items Pleasanton Unified School District (PUSD) invites qualified contractors to submit proposals to provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and support services for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Variable Air Volume (VAV) at the District Office, which consists of Building A and Building B. The contract will be for an initial term of one (1) year, with the option to extend for additional years based on performance and District needs. The HVAC Maintenance Services include comprehensive maintenance for the HVAC/VAV systems in two buildings: - Building B: Two-story building with a package unit, furnaces for each floor, and three (3) VRF units. - Building A: Single-story building shared with a tenant, with one (1) package unit, a furnace, and one (1) VRF unit. The purpose of this contract is to provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and support services for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Variable Air Volume (VAV). The selected contractor will provide maintenance as per the following outlined tasks quarterly: Package Units - Check cooling/heating operations and inspect fans, bearings, and drive belts. - Verify refrigerant charge, inspect electrical connections, and secure panels. -Inspect return and supply air temperatures, and system integrity, and clean/replace components as needed. - Perform visual leak inspections, and check condensate pans, drains, economizers, electric heat strips, insulators, flow switches, contactors, and duct connections. Gas-Electric Units -Ensure operation and safety by checking fans, bearings, and drive belts, and verifying refrigerant charge. - Inspect condensate pans, economizers, pilot or ignitor, heat exchanger, flue, and vent motor. Furnaces -Inspect and clean burners, check pilot operation, main burner, boiler clock, and safety relief valve. VRF Units - Clean filters, inspect drain pan and evaporator coil, ensure panel integrity, and check electrical connections. - Inspect and clean condenser and evaporator coils, motor amperages, ventilation, control box, fan blades, and refrigerant system conditions. Pneumatics VAV -Troubleshoot and replace VAV components as required for service calls.
