Renovation of a water / sewer project in Pleasanton, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Reference Number 0000409987 Bid Intent Not Available Replacement and modification of rooftop HVAC equipment serving all of the 2nd floor laboratory and office spaces. Rooftop equipment to be demolished shall include existing EFs 1 thru 9, general exhaust fan, GE-1, AHU-1, air cooled chiller CH-1, associated pumps P-1, 2, and all CHW & HHW piping and appurtenances associated with AHU-1 and CH-1 on rooftop. Demolish rectangular supply air ductwork from AHU-1 on roof down to where the ductwork transitions to round duct branches serving the 2nd floor spaces. Demolish the existing absorption chiller and associated pumps, piping and accessories on grade. Chilled water piping from the absorption chiller shall be demolished to point of disconnect on lower roof as shown on drawings. Heating hot water piping from the absorption chiller shall be demolished and capped as shown on drawings. Provide new major HVAC equipment including: AHU-1, CH-1 & 2 & associated inline primary CHW pumps, secondary CHW pumps, strobic exhaust fan system. AHU-1 shall be provided with new double wall supply air duct down to point of connection to existing round supply air duct above the 2nd floor ceiling. New Chillers, CH-1 & 2 and all associated pumps and accessories, shall be provided in place of the demolished absorption chiller on grade. Strobic exhaust fan, EF-1, shall be provided on roof with a single fan within the fan plenum. The plenum shall be large enough to house a back-up fan and have all required provisions for connecting and powering the back-up fan, should a back-up be desired to be installed in the future. All existing Phoenix valves serving the 2nd floor shall be retain valve bodies but shall be retrofitted to remove the pneumatic controls and be provided with new electronic Siemens controls and integrated into the existing building A Siemens controls system. New Siemens exhaust valves shall be provided to serve the 2nd floor rooms and/or hoods & equipment that currently do not have an exhaust valve installed within the exhaust ductwork. New valves shall be installed per the drawings and shall be integrated into the building's Siemens controls system. 1st Floor Titus VAV Boxes: Existing 1st floor VAV boxes shall remain. The extent of the work done to the VAV boxes is limited to disconnecting the existing pneumatic tubing and controls and upgrading the controls to a DDC control system. This upgrade would include replacing only the hydronic hot water control valve actuators, but retaining the HHW valves, coils and VAV boxes. The pneumatic controls would be capped and retired in place. Additionally, new room thermostats and leaving air temperature sensors at VAV box discharge shall be provided. Building T: The existing absorption chiller and associated CHW and HHW pumps shall be demolished and a new equivalent capacity absorption chiller and pumps will be provided in their place. The existing concrete housekeeping pad shall be extended such that the installation of the new chiller can allow adequate spacing for piping connections and routing between the new chiller and the exterior wall of building T. The new absorption chiller will be provided by the owner without the manufacturer's sheet metal casing. The absorption chiller shall be installed with an outdoor overhang similar to the adjacent one currently protecting the existing pumps and piping. Building C: Existing rooftop package unit shall be demolished and replaced with a like-for-like replacement in the same location as the existing unit. Building H: Existing AHU-2210 and associated heating hot water piping shall be demolished. A new equivalently sized air handler shall be provided in it's place and connected to the existing ductwork. The heating hot water will not be reconnected and shall be capped as shown on drawings. Existing EF within influent pump room shall be demolished and a new section of duct will be installed to replace the demolished EF.
