Renovation of an educational facility in Oakland, New Jersey. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of January 31, 2025, bids were rejected. No definite date for the rebid.** No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the opening of the bids. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond from a surety company licensed to do business in New Jersey, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid submitted, but not in excess of $20,000.00, made payable to the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District Board of Education. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a bid for the Project, the Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction ("DPMC") as of the date and time of the bid opening in one of the following disciplines: C008 - General Construction; or C009 - General Construction/Alterations and Additions with C030 - Plumbing, C032 - HVACR, C047 - Electrical, C029 - Structural Steel Further, if the Bidder is not classified by the DPMC as C030 - Plumbing, C032 - HVACR, C047 - Electrical and C029 - Structural Steel, the Bidder shall be required to retain subcontractors that are DPMC classified C030 - Plumbing C032 - HVACR C047 - Electrical and C029 - Structural Steel (in whichever categories the bidder is not so classified), which subcontractors shall be named in the bid and all required documents for the subcontractor shall be provided within the time required by the bid documents and/or by law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. The Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District Board of Education reserves the right to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22, those deemed to be non-responsive, and those bids submitted by bidders deemed not to be responsible under the Public School Contracts Law. The Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District Board of Education may also waive minor informalities in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements in accordance with applicable law.
