Separate sealed BIDS for the Falling Springs Road 1.5 MG Ground Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation, 3509 Falling Springs Rd, Cahokia Heights. These improvements include abrasive blasting of the interior and exterior coating and repainting with an epoxy coating, replacement of the fill control valve, reconnection to the watermain, replacement of the vent, foundation repair and coating, install grounding for the tank, safety improvements, modify the overflow pipe discharge and splash pad at the ground level, install a 30-inch diameter sidewall manway, install a gasket on the wet interior roof hatch and replace the gasket on the bolted painter's hatch to meet current Illinois EPA requirements, install deflector bars at the end of the fill pipe in the wet interior, install a sample tap on the fill/draw pipe to meet current Illinois EPA requirements, repairs in the wet interior as needed, site work, install liquid level meter, and all other incidental work required to complete the project as listed in the specifications. Project Signs: Project signs shall be furnished and installed at the project location. The project signs shall be 24" vertical by 36" horizontal mounted on two metal T-posts. The signs shall be in color. The sign locations and content shall be coordinated with the Architect/Engineer and the City of Cahokia Heights. All work shall be constructed under the provisions in the Technical Specifications provided in the bid package. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's check for not less than five percent of the amount of the bid. The federal prevailing rate of wages (Davis Bacon Act) shall be paid throughout the scope of the project. The Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) goal for this project is seventeen percent (17%) of the awarded amount. Bidders will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 as amended. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. The OWNER reserves the right to waive technicalities or to reject any or all proposals.
