Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Temple, Texas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Engineering - Midway Drive Reconstruction qualified engineering firms to provide roadway and civil engineering design and construction support services for the Midway Drive to Thornton Lane Corridor project. Portions of Midway Drive, Hickory Road, and Thornton Lane from IH-35 to Oakdale Drive provide a continuous corridor in the Bird Creek Neighborhood District. The purpose of this project is to fully reconstruct these roadways to minimize potential vertical movement due to very poor soils in the area. Improvements shall include the design of Midway - Thornton Corridor as a minor arterial with possible lane reduction, drainage facilities, bridge structure, pedestrian facilities, wastewater, and landscaping. The bridge crossing Bird Creek will need to adequately accommodate the 100-year rainfall event. Interested firms shall have demonstrated extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience in roadway design in areas with expansive soils. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
