Site work and renovation of a civil project in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Work shall include furnishing all tools, labor, materials, equipment, and miscellaneous items necessary for the complete construction of approximately 810 linear feetof 8-inch water main, service laterals, and appurtenances. Installation of approximately 895 linear feet of 8-inch wastewater main, service laterals, and appurtenances. Installation of approximately 150 linear feet of 18" storm drain and appurtenances. Replacement of approximately 900 LF of water and 900 LF of wastewater pipelines including associated appurtenances on Sinclair Avenue between 42nd Street and 44th streets. The existing 6" concrete wastewater lines will be upgraded to the current city minimum standard of 8" diameter. The existing 6" CI water pipeline is proposed to be replaced and upgraded to a 8" PVC pipe. BID GUARANTY All Bids shall be accompanied by an acceptable Bid guaranty in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid, as specified in Section 00100, Instructions to Bidders. Estimated Amount for Solicitation: $1,126,818.75. CONTRACT TIME Contract Time is of the essence and all Work shall be substantially completed within Three Hundred (300) Calendar Days after date specified in the Notice to Proceed, in accordance with the Bid Form, Section 00300. Final completion shall be achieved within Thirty (30) Calendar Days after substantial completion. BONDS AND INSURANCE Performance and payment bonds when required shall be executed on forms furnished by OWNER. Each bond shall be issued in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount by a solvent corporate surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and shall meet any other requirements established by law or by OWNER pursuant to applicable law. Liquidated damages are One Thousand Four Hundred Seventy Dollars ($1470.00) per Calendar Day for failure to substantially complete the work and Eight Hundred Dollars ($800) per Calendar Day for failure to achieve final completion within Thirty (30) Calendar Days after substantial completion, in accordance with the Bid Form, Section 00300. OWNER'S RIGHTS OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any minor informality in any Bid or solicitation procedure (a minor informality is one that does not affect the competitiveness of the Bid).
