The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is accepting bids to complete an interior office renovation at the TWC Main Building. The individual listed below may be E-Mailed, telephoned for information concerning inspection of the construction site. For onsite inspection, prior appointment should be made through No authority is intended or implied that the specifications may be amended or alternates accepted prior to bid opening without written approval of the TWC. This individual is designated as the TWC contract administrator for the work required under this IFB. Failure to supply TWC with; all Bonds as specified in Attachment II, Uniformed General Conditions, Section 3 "Contract Documents and Bonds" Items 3.3 except Bid Bond and all insurance policies as specified in Attachment II, Uniform General Conditions, Section 5 "Contractor Responsibilities" Items 5.7 thou 5.7.5 within 15 calendar days from the written award notice may cause the forfeiture of the award and the Contractor's Bid Bond. An award will be based upon what TWC considers to be the offering that provides the best value to the agency in accordance with Texas Government Code, Sections 2155.074 and 2156.125. In determining the best value, TWC will consider factors including, but not limited to, the following. Price of product or service. Bidders are cautioned to study carefully all parts of the plans and specifications and the terms and conditions prior to submitting a bid. Each bidder is encouraged to visit the job site at their own expense and verify all measurements and conditions prior to bidding. Bidders should make a prior appointment to schedule this inspection by contacting the agency contact listed above (section 1.3.). Visits are to be scheduled during normal working hours. Bids are to be submitted to Fred Warner at the address listed above in section 1.2, not later than March 8th 2019 @ 2:00pm. Bidders will include one original bid packet, all signed attachments, signed copy of all Addendum, plus two (2) copies to be used for evaluation purposes. Bids must be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope of sufficient size to hold the bid forms. The bidder's complete name and address must appear on the upper left-hand corner of the envelope. Bids must be clearly and predominantly marked below the bidder's return address with the following: "BID NUMBER, BID OPENING DATE AND TIME" as noted on the INVITATION FOR BIDS. An authorized officer of the vendor must sign bids. They must be responsive to this specification, but may contain additional information considered pertinent by the bidder. All proposal information submitted in the response to this IFB is subject to and will be handled in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code, Chapter 552. That Act allows the public to have access to information in the possession of a government body. Therefore, any confidential or proprietary information contained within a proposal must be clearly identified by the Offeror in the proposal itself. Proprietary information identified by the Offeror in advance will be kept confidential by the Agency to the extent permitted by state law.
