Renovation of a municipal facility in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) seeks applications from Eligible Applicants to create and maintain an AEL Career Pathway Professional Development Center (CPPDC). The CPPDC will collaborate with the Statewide PDC. The CPPDC will provide services to improve integration across WIOA Titles that serve priority populations through cross training of stakeholder groups such as Workforce Boards, IHEs, and Career and Technical educational providers in order to support system alignment and enhance employment and postsecondary outcomes. The CPPDC will provide research-based Professional Development (PD) to AEL Grantees and stakeholders on AEL Career Pathway models. These models include: IET models for basic skills deficient individuals; Integrated EL Civics for ELL, including: internationally trained professional ELLs; services for employer engagement for workplace literacy; and PD to enhance corrections and re-entry services. For this grant, the Grantee will provide PD planning, design, and implementation services through a CPPD Institute. CPPDC will expand, consult, develop, disseminate, train, and provide research and evidence-based PD services for implementing quality Career Pathway models that support student success, system alignment among stakeholders, and improve state performance outcomes. Routine, concentrated, and sustained PD will be provided to AEL Grant Recipients and the Texas Workforce System to support expansion of quality Career Pathway models serving priority populations in Texas. The CPPDC may include but are not limited to IET, Integrated EL Civics, Intensive Services models, and Transition to Postsecondary Education. The Grantee will be required to collaborate with the entity awarded as the Statewide PDC which, at the time of publication of this RFA, is the Texas A&M University Center for the Advancement of Literacy and Learning (TCALL). After the issuance of the RFA, the Q&A Document is a primary source of information for Applicants. Applicants' questions must be submitted in writing via email to the Authorized TWC Contact by February 10, 2021 by 4:00 p.m. CT. TWC has the right to reject Applications, or to cancel or modify an RFA at any point before a grant award is signed. The award of any grant is subject to the availability of funds. Final approval of a grant award is solely at the determination of TWC.
