The City of Pasadena is seeking bids for pump efficiency testing of well pumps and booster pumps and flow meter accuracy testing of well and booster pump meters. Scope of Services The City of Pasadena is seeking bids for pump efficiency testing of well pumps and booster pumps and flow meter accuracy testing of well and booster pump meters. The Contractor shall be responsible for satisfactory and complete execution of the work related to pump efficiency and meter accuracy testing in accordance with the Specifications. All work shall be performed on regular workdays of the City of Pasadena Water and Power Department, Water Division between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The City operates on a 9/80 schedule and is closed every other Friday. The City is closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Lincoln's Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after, and Christmas Day. The Contractor shall provide, at no additional cost to the City, all services, material and equipment required to complete the work, even though not particularly specified or indicated. The work of the Contractor shall not vary from the Specification in form or quality without previous written consent of the City. Bid Bond Instruction: Bidders must provide all required information for the City to verify the bond with their bid. The bond must meet the following requirements and characteristics: Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price in the form of a redeemable or callable electronic surety bond, meeting City requirements, must accompany all bids. If the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall for fifteen (15) calendar days after such award fail or neglect to enter into the contract with the required insurance documentation, submit the Construction & Demolition Waste Management Plan, and file the required bonds, the City may deposit in its treasury said bid security and, under no circumstances, shall it be returned to the defaulting Bidder. Failure to return signed contract with all the attachments stated above may result in having the project awarded to the next lowest bidder.
