Site work for a water / sewer project in Dawsonville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project is to be funded using Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) Program funds, and funds from the United States Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The selected contractor must comply with the GEFA and NRCS requirements included in the Contract Documents. THE PROJECT consists of the following major elements: Retrofit an existing NRCS flood control dam (known as Etowah River Watershed Structure No. 13) into a pumped storage reservoir from the Etowah River, with elements including the following: a. Construction of a 110-foot high earthen dam to replace the existing 50-foot high flood control dam b. Construction of a riser structure and principal spillway which includes two pipe spillways and a section of tunnel excavation c. Construction of a 300-foot earthen auxiliary spillway d. Construction of stormwater channels and erosion control features e. All necessary and required appurtenances and erosion and sedimentation control for a complete project. PRE-QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS has been performed THE WORK will be awarded in one Contract. CLARIFICATIONS Any explanation desired by Bidder regarding the meaning or interpretation of this Invitation to Bid shall be requested in writing by Friday, March 7, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. All inquiries shall be directed to Steve Cribb, P.E. (WSP USA Inc.) via email (steve.cribb@wsp.com) and copied via email to Tim Collins (Etowah Water & Sewer Authority) at tcollins@etowahwaterga.gov. A BID BOND in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total base bid shall accompany each bid submitted. The Bid Bond shall be prepared on the Bid Bond form attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570. THE SUCCESSFUL Bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid. THE OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and to re-advertise.
