The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to solicit competitive sealed Bids to furnish window tinting and lamination services for the use of The School Board of Brevard County, Florida (School Board). SCOPE OF GOODS AND/OR SERVICES: THIS SPECIFICATION establishes the minimum requirements to Furnish and Install Window Film, listed and described in the body of these specifications, to be used as noted, by the School Board of Brevard County, Florida. Window Film shall meet or exceed the minimum requirements in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in this bid. THE INTENT of this bid is to establish a firm-fixed term contract to furnish and install window film. The Successful Bidder(s) shall guarantee firm labor, equipment and material prices to furnish and install window film at various schools and other district owned properties throughout Brevard County. The Successful Bidder(s) shall provide and pay for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and other facilities and services necessary for the proper installation of window film. Successful Bidder(s) will provide a schedule in writing to the project manager a minimum of 10 working days in advance of installation services, indicating buildings scheduled for film installation and the approximate day of installation for each building. Prior to installation all items should be removed from the window glass (tape, pictures, drawings, plants, artwork in the windowsills, etc.) by school personnel. Successful Bidder(s) will remove all film and waste from the installation area at the end of the day and return all rooms entered to their prior condition. Window Film Installation involves using a water-based solution sprayed onto glass. Prior to installation, any personal computers, electronics, or other items must be moved by school personnel at least 5 feet away from windows to prevent damage during Window Film Installation. If these items are encountered, Successful Bidder(s) will make at least two (2) attempts to have school personnel move the items to allow for film installation. If Successful Bidder(s) is unsuccessful in having these items moved, Successful Bidder(s) will move these items prior to film installation. Successful Bidder(s) shall take every precaution in moving items to prevent damages and will not be held responsible for damages to items left near windows that must be moved to accommodate film installation.
