Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5, the Pennsauken Township Board of Education located at 1695 Hylton Road, Pennsauken, New Jersey 08110 is seeking proposals for Construction Management Services for the 2024 PENNSAUKEN MAGNET SCHOOL ADDITION to be provided to the Board of Education. The documents to be completed and returned with the proposal as follows: Proposal Form Non-Collusion Affidavit Statement of Ownership Chapter 271 Political Contribution Disclosure Form Acknowledgment of Addenda (if applicable) ** RFP date info : The sealed envelope shall be marked with the words "REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR THE PENNSAUKEN TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION (CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICE RFP#25-12). The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The Township of Pennsauken, Camden County, New Jersey is 12.2 square miles. Officially formed in 1892, Pennsauken Township is an active, involved, and very diverse community of approximately 35,000 residents. The community takes great pride in promoting the town's long history. The Township of Pennsauken is a favorable location for residents because of its premier geographic location within Camden County and its close proximity to the cultural hub of Philadelphia and many major universities. The Pennsauken Public Schools serve over 5,000 students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 in one early childhood center, seven elementary schools, an intermediate school, a middle school and a comprehensive high school. Students and their families are supported by a staff of over 450 professionals and an additional 360 full and part-time support staff. The District is governed by a nine-member Board of Education. Board members are elected by public vote in November in staggered three-year terms. Question Deadline: December 16, 2024 4:00pm The proposed addition entails the above listed spaces, including incidental mechanical/electrical space, resulting in an 18,000 SF, one story addition. The addition will occupy an area of the High School site located on the south-west corner of the building, adjacent to the existing main access driveway and the administrative offices. The existing lawn area and deciduous trees will be impacted by the addition, as well as modifications to the existing parking lot. Based upon the concept design of the addition, which is a doubleloaded corridor design, it is expected the addition will be constructed with laod bearing concrete masonry cavity walls with brick veneer and structural steel roof framing. In accordance with the International Building Code 2021, New Jersey Edition the construction will be classified at type 2-B (Non-combustible, Un-protected). The roof system will be
