The Bellmead Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) seeks qualified bidders for land clearing & brush removal on an 11.1 ac. tract of land, generally located to the south of the intersection of Woodlands Boulevard and New Dallas Highway. To the south, Groveland Street and Strickland Street border the property. A large overhead electrical line and easement traverses the property along the eastern New Dallas Highway frontage and a drainage channel forms a boundary along the west and north. The tract is wooded with significant underbrush. The BEDC desires to have underbrush and dead and down trees removed. All standing, non-hardwood trees are to be removed. Hardwood trees less than six inches (6") in diameter are to remain. Hardwood trees that remain shall be trimmed/pruned to approximately eight feet (8') above grade. All limbs and cuttings are to be chipped/shredded on site and spread evenly. At the completion of work, the ground is to be free of ruts and tracks. The overriding project goal is to improve the site appearance and marketability. Bidders are to propose a total cost for the project. Bids must include an overall scope of service to address the clearing the property of non-hardwood vegetation, brush and undergrowth; a start-to- completion time frame; list of equipment and commitment of personnel necessary for on-time completion; and, documentation of insurance.
