The Macomb County Public Works Office (MCPWO) is coordinating an agreement with a qualified and licensed manufacture and installer to fabricate and install a trash capture device in Macomb County. The business awarded this project will be awarded a single contract with the MCPWO to design, manufacture, and install a trash collection device at the outflow of the 84-inch Hetchler Relief Drain located in Saint Clair Shores, MI, which discharges into Lake St. Clair. The objective is to reduce the amount of debris, litter, and floating waste entering the lake, thereby improving water quality, supporting local ecosystems, and meeting environmental standards. Primary Objective: To install an effective trash collection device at the 84-inch Hetchler Relief Drain to capture and remove floating debris before it enters Lake St. Clair. Secondary Objective: To ensure the device is maintainable and durable under varying weather conditions and the flow rate of the drainage system
