Renovation of a water / sewer project in Brampton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
McVean sewage pumping station upgrade within the City of Brampton. The McVean Sewage Pumping Station (SPS), located at 3900 Ebenezer Road, Brampton, receives wastewater from the Bolton community catchment area through gravity sewers with 1,500 mm and 750 mm diameters. An overflow lagoon (4,840 m3) handles excess flows beyond the station's capacity. The 2025 Region of Peel Water and Wastewater Master Plan for the Castlemore Trunk Sewer reroutes flows north of Castlemore Road West to the east, bypassing McVean SPS by 2034. The integration of the Castlemore trunk sewer into the collection system results in a phased approach to re-rate the existing capacity of McVean SPS. The recommended design capacity for the new McVean SPS is 2100 L/s in the interim period (present - 2034). After the Castlemore diversion sewer is operational, the design capacity is expected to reduce to 700 L/s. The contractor agrees to attain Substantial Performance of the work, within 130 weeks after written order for commencement of the work by the owner and ready-for-takeover, within 8 weeks after the substantial performance.
