The purpose of this project is to provide additional infrastructure to allow for the existing water softener system to supply both hot and cold domestic water for the Sky Tower. Currently the existing water softener system provides soft water to the domestic hot system only. The existing water softener has been evaluated and it has been determined the existing softener system can only provide water to the cold water system. The existing Bulk Salt Silo has also been evaluated and the silo can support the increase in salt demand. The project scope consists of upgrades to the existing water softener system that serves the Sky Tower. New hot taps and piping shall be provided to allow the existing water softener system to serve the existing cold water domestic systems. The existing brine tank shall be replaced in place and new controls / sensors shall be provided. Additional modifications are to be made to the Bulk Salt Silo that include a salt level and alarm. Modifications to the Women's & Children's Brine Day tank are need to allow for proper flow to the existing brine. New controls will be provided to the existing softener system in the Sky Tower.
