Site work for a civil project in Hanover, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Major item of work is installing underground PVC conduits to relocate exist overhead utility services and install electric service laterals for utility company (JCP&L) connection to existing equipment at 101 Skyline Drive, Morris Township, NJ. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Owner in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Owner in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Refer to the Invitation to Bid for the deadline to submit questions. Addenda may be issued to clarify, correct, supplement, or change the Bidding Documents. Failure of any bidder to acknowledge any such addenda in the bid document may be cause for rejection of the bid. Before submitting a Bid, the Bidder shall bring to the attention of the SMCMUA any questions or issues for clarification or interpretation including but not limited to: (i) any conflicting information between two or more portions of the Bidding Documents; (ii) any doubt that the Bidder may have as to the meaning, intent, or interpretation of any provision(s) found within the Bidding Documents; and/or (iii) any apparent ambiguity, inconsistency, error, discrepancy, or omission in the Bidding Documents. Any failure to bring such matters to the attention of the SMCMUA as provided for herein shall bar the successful Bidder from later making a claim for additional compensation based on an alleged conflicting provisions, ambiguities, inconsistencies, errors, discrepancies, or omissions in the Bidding Documents. Furthermore, if clarifications to the Bidding Documents are not requested before bidding as provided for herein, the Bidder shall be responsible to do such work, and furnish such materials as necessary to comply with whichever interpretation of the Bidding Documents that the SMCMUA, during construction, determines to be proper. Bid bond Not required for this contract A Performance and Payment Bonds shall not be required. Bidders must use the prepared proposal and related forms which are contained in the Project Manual. The bid must be separately enclosed in a sealed envelope with 'Executive Director, The Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority', marked on the outside along with the name of the item or project being bid. Bids may be submitted personally, by Federal Express, certified mail, courier service or similar media. No bids may be withdrawn within 60 days after receipt of bids, unless permitted by law. The Contractor shall submit any questions regarding the bid documents to Alexis Bozza, QPA, at 973-326- 6867 or abozza@smcmua.org by Friday, January 17, 2025, at 4:00 P.M. The SMCMUA reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive minor informalities or irregularities in the bids and to award the Contract to the lowest qualified Bidder. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
