Renovation of a stadium in Prince George, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
City of Prince George (the City) invites bids from qualified contractors who can demonstrate the appropriate experience, knowledge and availability needed for the replacement of all major equipment for the existing Elksentre ammonia refrigeration plant system that will include compressors, evaporative condenser, brine chiller, and ancillary equipment. The evaporative condenser will be replaced with a plate and frame condenser to be located within the mechanical room and a fluid cooler to be located outside of the east side of the building. The arena dehumidifier will also be replaced as part of this project. The new unit will be situated outside at the south end of the building. All structural components, framing and Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) openings are provided. In conjunction with the mechanical work, the electrical work for the facilitys power supply is to be upgraded from 460V to 600V as part of the relocation of the electrical equipment and distribution services from the existing mechanical room the Elksentre Arena to comply with the current Technical Safety BC (TSBC) regulations. BC Hydro design drawings will be referenced, and coordination will be required as part of this project. Shutdown of the Elksentre ammonia plant and programming will be in effect from April 15th and must be fully operational as of August 15, 2025. Questions will be allowed at the Bidders meeting. However, questions of a complex nature, or questions where the Bidder requires anonymity, should be submitted through the Bidding System, ideally prior to the meeting, as described under 2.2, below. To be clear, in -person attendance by at least one Bidder representative is mandatory. An alternative method of attending the meeting will not be available, because it is essential for at least one Bidder representative to observe on-site conditions. The Bidder representative attending the mandatory meeting MUST sign-in with the on-site City representative at the specified location, prior to a verbal declaration by the City representative that the meeting has begun. Any Bidder arriving after the Citys verbal declaration that the meeting has begun will not be permitted to sign-in and will be disqualified. The on-site City representative may declare that the mandatory meeting has begun at the time set out above, or shortly thereafter, but not prior to the at time. In the event of a dispute, the time as recorded by the on-site City representative at the specified location shall prevail whether accurate or not. Note that the specified location may be open not only to the Bidders but also to the public. It is suggested that Bidders review the ITT carefully before attending the mandatory meeting. However, questions of a complex nature, or questions where the Bidder requires anonymity, should be submitted through the Bidding System ideally prior to the mandatory meeting, as described under 2.2 below.
