As of 3/3/2025 All Bids were too high (over 20% of estimate).  Thus, a future re-bid. This project will replace the existing 84" CMP culvert (between Locust Drive and Brungard Road) with a new 8'span x 6' rise four-sided precast concrete box with half height headwalls. Minor improvements includeinstallation of guardrail, updated signing and pavement markings. Domestic Steel use requirements as specified in Section 153.011 of the Revised Code apply to this project.Copies of Section 153.011 of the Revised Code can be obtained from any of the offices of the Department ofAdministrative Services.Each bidder shall be required to complete and file with his bid the enclosed Proposal Guaranty andPerformance/Payment Bond Form (Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code) with a Surety Company executingthe Bond, which is listed on the Treasury Department's most current list (Circular 570 as amended) andauthorized to transact business in the State where the project is based.If the bid is accepted, the successful bidder shall enter into a contract and the Proposal Guaranty andPerformance/Payment Bond shall provide the conditions in said bond, and as listed below:(A) A Contract Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the estimated cost of the work conditioned,among other things that the Contractor will perform the work upon the terms proposed, within the timeprescribed, in accordance with the plans and specifications. (B) A Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the estimated cost of the work conditioned for the paymentby the Contractor and all Sub-contractors for labor performed and materials furnished in connection with theproject involved.Springfield Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities in bidding.Bids of Corporations not chartered in Ohio must be accompanied by proper certification that such corporationis authorized to do business in Ohio.
