The City of Burnet is requesting proposals from qualified firms interested in providing the City with aforementioned services and as noted below. The general scope of work shall include but not limited to the following: Typical Maintenance Work of Hay Fields 1. Cut and bale the hay. If hay is sold, do not allow buyers or unauthorized people to access city property, but rather move hay offsite after baling it. 2. Move irrigation side rollers to irrigate each area. Irrigate enough but not so much that water ponds or runs off. Typically, this entails moving side rollers over 3 times per day. 3. Operate valves to turn water on/off and connect pipe to side rollers. 4. At times irrigation must occur to dispose of the over filled ponds; regardless of whether the fields needs it. 5. Plant and harvest vegetation that will maximize the absorption of effluent applied to the Premises by the City. Growing crop to be primary Crop of Coastal Bermuda Grass. 6. Fertilize the Premise and provide chemical supplements as needed to maintain the appropriate level of nutrients in the soil. However, the water used to irrigate contains much phosphorus, thus do not provide fertilizer with phosphorus. 7. Control weeds and fire ants. 8. Maintain irrigation equipment. Perform repairs as needed. City will purchase major components, but responder will provide its own tools, lubricants, gasoline, nuts/bolts, and other small items. 9. Provide gasoline to operate rollers. 10. Give City dates of cutting and areas to be irrigated, and assure that irrigation is not occurring at the same time as the sport complex ball fields. 11. City staff will from time to time dispose and distribute sludge (sewer plant byproduct) in the field. Type of award shall be either: 1. Single Award: One agreement shall be awarded to a single Respondent. Or 2. Term of Agreement: The agreement shall be for an initial term of one year from the date of execution on the contract for the project. Or 3. Any combination of the two methods above.
